Sunday gatherings at Cedar Park Church

Sunday Worship Service - October 1st at 10:30am
Join us for a time of worship, we will sing, pray, and partake communion together. Pastor Rachel will be preaching on the sermon topic "Dealing with Relational Cancers". We also have Kids Church program for all children.

Right after the service, we will have a short Church In Ministry meeting and we will vote on candidate Natasha Tunnicliffe to be a pastor within CO5&CPC Network.

Invite people to join community groups

Community Groups
Community groups are where we grow in Christ together, pray together, and share our lives.  We will be kicking off an 8-week session of groups. If you have not signed up for a group last week, please sign up this Sunday October 1st before or after service. You can also sign up online by clicking on the signup buttons below.

Here are the groups that will be launching.  Some of the information is still being finalized with group leaders, but here is a preview:
 
1. Paul Coleman, Topic: Psalm 23 (video series – 6 sessions). 
   Starting Oct 15, on Sundays 9:15am at CPC.

2. Angie and Tim Ernst, Topic: Overcoming Hurry Sickness.
    Sundays Oct 8-Nov 26, over lunch or supper period at Ernst's home

3. Carmelle & Michael Dieleman, Topic: Generous Justice by Tim Keller.
    Wednesday nights at 7pm in Tsawwassen. Children are welcome.

8. Soul Care by Dr. Rob Reimer. Explores seven principles that are profound
    healing tools of God and scripture: securing your identity, repentance, breaking
    family sin patterns, forgiving others, healing wounds, overcoming fears, and 
    deliverance. Wed 7-8:30pm at CO5. Lead: Joyce Lau

9.  Alpha: For spiritual seekers and believers wanting to build a strong foundation
     of prayer, faith and how to read the Bible. Wed 6:30-8:30pm at CO5.

Invite CPC ladies to baby shower

Baby Shower (Sunday October 1st)
Join us in showering Hannah & Joseph and their new bundle-of-joy Turner with lots of love and gifts. It will be on Sunday October 1st at 12:30pm after service in the heritage room. All CPC ladies are welcome! If you would like to bring some finger food and sweets to share, please contact Rose at 604-314-2938. For gifts, baby clothes from 6-12 months are most welcome, but any gifts are appreciated. Thanks!

 

Invite CPC ladies to join the ladies coffee time on Fridays

Ladies Coffee Time (starting this Friday September 29th)
All women of Cedar Park Church are invited to a weekly coffee time on Friday mornings at 10:00. We will be meeting at L’aromas Bakehouse in Tsawwassen:   1202B 56th Street - if you turn right at the first set of lights on 56th Street you will see it just ahead on the left side. We love to see you there.

 

Invitation to the Disney Trick or Treat Event

Trick or Treat Community Outreach (October 31, 6-8pm)
A free, safe trick or treating event for families with fun Disney-themed characters.  This event will be receiving donations for homeless outreach work in Richmond which serves 80 people a night.

Who: Families with children 12 and under
Where: 10200 No 5 Road (CO5)

We are looking for donations of candies and chips over the next few weeks. You can drop off your donations at CPC on Sundays or office hours (Monday-Thursday, 9am-4pm). Thank you!

The Prayer Chain

The Prayer Chain is a group of people at Cedar Park linked together by email, who are committed to praying, in their own time and place, for certain persons or concerns made known to them by the prayer chain coordinator. To submit a request to the prayer chain, contact Olga Nickel. You can also email a request to prayer@cedarparkchurch.org. Emailed requests are received by Olga before being sent to the members of the Prayer Chain who keep requests confidential.

Latino Workers Support Society

Latino Ministry

Latino Worship Service at Cedar Park
Our Spanish Worship Night is on the first Saturday of each month at Cedar Park Church. Service starts at 7pm.  All are welcome to join the service.

Latino ESL program
Wednesday evenings at Cedar Park Church.

Latino Weekly Bible Study
We host our Bible study at the church and in homes. If you want to be our host, please contact Jon Pelen.
